I am considering the same option and hope others reply. Still waiting for my hysterectomy which will stage my cancer but from pipelle biopsy I am stage 3 serous and the outlook is not good without continued treatment as far as I can tell. Due to all of the chemo side effects I am considering just letting the cancer go and have quality of life over quantity.

Nancy, hopefully your cancer will respond to one of the gentler chemo treatments. There are women who only had hair loss as a side effect! It is great to hear your lymph nodes are clear, that should be a big relief to you. Had a PET scan yesterday which was much easier than my previous CAT scan. From what I understand of endometrial cancer you will need chemo treatment or it will reoccur. I wish I had a hysterectomy first, back in November 2024, before all of the scans as I have a fast spreading serous cancer which has probably not been lying quiet while I wait for all of the Doctor appointments.

Thank you everyone for your replies.
It’s very good to hear your journeys .
My gyn/oncologist did extensive biopsies while doing the hysterectomy.
Including 6 pelvic lymph nodes.
There is no cancer in the lymph nodes, but there was endometrium invasion ..60% …
I wonder if this is their concern…?
is the chemo/radiation being kind of pushed as a precautionary action ?
I am having a PET scan on Jan 29th ..
this is a big one …
They’re looking for any other cancer…
When the results are in …
I will ask my questions ….that haven’t been answered yet .
So, I will be back here hoping for your thoughts after those results…

Nancy, It sucks for us that this cancer has not been researched for as long as lung and breast cancer have. I worry about the digestive issues chemo may cause as my digestion right now is really sensitive. Will wait to talk to my doctor before making a decision. There may be a treatment for you that does not effect the heart.

I have had a complete hysterectomy (Dec2, 2024)..
My biopsies revealed that my serous cancer is Stage II B …
I am scheduled for a PET scan soon to see if there are other cancers …
I have a pancreatic cyst … approximately 7 cm … which they tell me is usually non cancerous … and lung nodules … which one oncology dr. told me he’s not concerned about …
What does this mean ??
I am 77 years old … had bypass surgery in 2015 …so heart concerns are part of my questions … and my quality of life is my biggest concern …
Chemo , with its side effects just don’t seem like a good option
